About the Office
The Chouteau County Clerk of District Court provides administrative support for the District Court of the 12th Judicial District. The Clerk is an elected official who serves a four-year term.
The office is responsible for maintaining court records and processing filings for a variety of case types, including:
Civil cases
Criminal cases
Probate and guardianship matters
Juvenile cases
Adoptions
Mental health commitments
In addition to court-related duties, the office also:
Issues marriage licenses
Accepts passport applications
