About the Office
The Chouteau County Clerk & Recorder is an elected official responsible for maintaining many of the County's official records. The office records and preserves documents related to real property, vital records, and County government proceedings.

Marriage Licenses are issued by the Clerk of Court.
Elections
The Clerk & Recorder also serves as the Chouteau County Election Administrator, overseeing all federal, state, county, municipal, and school elections conducted within the county.
